The Democrats can cheat if they want to
Republicans are powerless to do anything about the specter of rigged elections
The so-called red wave ended up being little more than a red puddle. What could have possibly happened? Prima facie, at least two hypothesis present themselves:
The Trump “MAGA” brand has become so toxic to centrists and independents that no Trump endorsed candidate can win in so-called “swing” states. Hence the reason why so many Trump endorsed candidates underperformed on Tuesday. Republicans in Florida, on the other hand, running along side Governor Ron DeSantis, did extremely well. The only red wave that happened on November 8 occurred in Florida. Why is that?
The close elections were tilted the Democrat’s way by voter fraud in big cities. This hypothesis deserves closer examination.
Philadelphia is one of the most corrupt cities in America. Consider what occured in that city according to columnist Larry Mendte during the 2012 election:
This year was particularly egregious. In October came the first hint that something was fishy when the city’s voting rolls were discovered to be nine months pregnant with inactive voters. Federal law dictates that voters be removed from the rolls after they miss two consecutive presidential elections. In Philly, we are more forgiving. Two of three residents in the city are eligible to vote. Taking into consideration children and teenagers who can’t vote, the one million-plus registered voters is impossible. There are undoubtedly dead people on the rolls. The important question is: Did they vote?
Bloated rolls provide opportunity for the unscrupulous to pad the vote for a particular candidate and the turnout. Fortunately there are poll watchers legally certified from both parties that assure that can’t happen. However, in 75 Philadelphia polling sites, the Republican poll watcher was at first either barred from entering or thrown out. It took three hours before a Common Pleas Court judge issued an emergency order that they must be allowed in. A lot can happen in those three hours.
In Philadelphia, voter turnout in 20 of the wards was 97 percent and greater. That is 97 percent of the bloated voter rolls that probably include dead people. Zombies are in these days, and in Philadelphia, they vote.
In 59 Philadelphia precincts, Mitt Romney received no votes. Zero. If you total up just those precincts, Obama won with over 19,000 votes to nothing for Romney.
Just consider that: 19,000 to zero. Is that even possible? Wouldn’t at least a few people accidentally vote for the wrong candidate? How credible is it to have this much unanimity? Wouldn’t at least a few stray eccentrics cast a vote for someone other than Barack Obama?
The mainstream media, per usual, insisted there was nothing to see here:
Most big cities are heavily Democratic to begin with [explained CBS news], and geographic patterns of racial segregation may yield an even more one-sided electoral result in certain areas than in the city as a whole.
Obama's dominance was mostly confined to largely African-American areas of West and North Philadelphia. In the third division of Philadelphia's 28th Ward, for example, 94 percent of the residents are black, and the 2010 census recorded only seven white residents. Voter registration lists showed only 12 registered Republicans in the division, none of whom voted for Romney or responded to the Inquirer's requests for comment.
Perhaps the GOP should have seen it coming - recall the frosty reception Romney received at a West Philadelphia charter school in May.
And the outcome is not at all out of step with recent history - in 2008, 57 divisions in Philadelphia returned zero votes for then-GOP nominee, Arizona Sen. John McCain. And in 2004, a more Republican-friendly election year, five Philadelphia divisions shut out former President George W. Bush entirely.
Odd that an article seeking to diffuse suspicion and “conspiracy theory” would admit that John McCain and George W. Bush also found themselves shut out in fifty-seven and five Philadelphia wards respectively. What does all these zeros amount to in the end, when it is all tabulated? Wouldn’t it mean that Republican candidates lost in the innermost Philadelphia wards 40,000 to nothing? Isn’t that statistically impossible?
To be sure, even if there was cheating in 2008 and 2012 in the wards of Philadelphia, it would not have had much of an impact on the ultimate election. Those wards are made up almost entirely of blacks, who vote for Democrats in overwhelming numbers. So all in all, if even three or five or ten percent of voters in those wards voted for the Republican but were fradulently turned to pro-Obama votes, such legerdemain wouldn’t have amounted to more than a few thousand votes gained for the Democrat—hardly enough to have mattered one way or the other. The Democrats may have cheated—but it doesn’t seem to have had any impact on the ultimate outcome.
But what about the 97 percent turnout? That is suspicious as well. Black turnout in 2012 was estimated at about 66 percent. That is a far cry from 97 percent that turned out in 20 of the wards. However, even if we subtracted potential votes for Obama created by this artificial swelling of turnout by thirty percent, that at best gets us somewhere in the neighborhood of ten thousand fraudulent votes. Obama won the state of Pennsylvania by over three hundred thousand votes. So whatever cheating existed in those Philadelphia wards seems to have been of no account. Obama would’ve have won Pennslyvania even if there had been no election fraud.
Yet this does not mean the cheating can be dismissed as of no significance. If you lose a game in which your opponent has committed fraud, it is little comfort to be told that your opponent would have won regardless of his cheating. And when it comes to the elections, the fact that one side is getting away with rigging the results cannot help but have dire long-term consequences. When corrupt politicians continue to get away with voter fraud, this can only serve to embolden them in the future. If there was in fact voter fraud in Philadelphia in 2004, 2008, and 2012, the primary lesson learned by the cheaters would be that they don’t have to ever worry about being caught. What, after all, could the Republicans have possibly done about the fishy poll numbers from those 2012 Philadelphia wards? The fact is, the Republicans couldn’t do anything about it. They were completely checkmated. If they demanded an investigation, Democrats would indignantly question why Republicans were targetting heavily black areas for investigation and cry racism. Even if the Republicans ignored these invidious charges and nonetheless pushed forward and absolutely demanded a thorough audit of these offending wards, the Democrats could merely stymie their adversaries by refusing to cooperate in any such endeavor. In that case, the Republicans would be left running the investigation all by themselves, as they were in Maricopa county in Arizona after the 2020 election. We all know how that turned out. According to an “interim report” issued by Attorney General Mark Brnovich,
We have reached the conclusion that the 2020 election in Maricopa County revealed serious vulnerabilities that must be addressed and raises questions about the 2020 election in Arizona.
Do you think anyone in the Democratic Party or the mainstream media gives a fig for “these serious vulnerabilites that must be addressed”? Of course they don’t. Why would they? Since the Maricopa investigation was run solely by Republican activists, the Democrats and their allies in the media can always claims that it is partisan and therefore biased. The fact is, the Republicans have no way of getting the broader public to take voter fraud seriously. The deck is stacked against them. Any time they raise concerns over possible malfeasance, all the Democrats have to do is cry foul and refuse to cooperate with any potential investigation. Then they can have their creatures in social media censor anyone who would have the temerity to suggest the mere possibility that a fraud might have been committed.
Remember the film 2000 Mules? That documentary brought up potential issues that at the very least should have been looked into by the proper authorities. But of course no such investigation has ever been conducted. Any questionable activity by left-wing operatives during an election is considered conspiracy theory and is casually tossed aside, even by the FBI and other law enforcement agencies.
All this potentially sets the stage for even more bold and scandalous acts of election fraud in the future. At some point, Democrat operatives have to realize that they can cheat with near impunity because the Republicans are helpless to do anything about it. So why shouldn’t they cheat? If they can get away with it, wouldn’t it be stupid not to?
